Transportation Construction Career Forum

The Central Florida Construction Career Days Committee would like to welcome you to the first Transportation Construction Career Forum.  The event is hosted by the Construction/Transportation industry and the Florida Department of Transportation. The goal is to provide information on career planning and career opportunities. 

• When:     Wednesday, April 14, 2010
• Where:    Central Florida Fairgrounds,4603 W Colonial Drive, Orlando
• Time:       Registration/Exhibitor Area 3:30PM - 5:00 PM
  • Attendees will be provided an opportunity to meet and talk with industry representatives about the construction industry from 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM. 
• Program 5:00PM - 6:00 PM
  • Opening Remarks - Valerie Tutor (10 minutes)
  • Blackmon & Roberts Group, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Supportive Services (20 minutes)
    • Blackmon & Roberts provides DBE Supportive services Free of Charge for the Florida Department of Transportation
    • Blackmon & Roberts services are designed to increase the number of minority and women-owned businesses (DBEs) participating successfully on FDOT projects.
    • Blackmon & Roberts offers expertise in loan, bond, and bid packaging, accounting, marketing , business plans, estimating, plans and specifications review.
    • Blackmon & Roberts provides DBE application assistance to companies currently not certified with FDOT
  • Quest Corporation of America -  Resumé, Application and Mock Interview (20 minutes)
  • Question and Answer (10 minutes)
